The 2024 Commencement ceremony is on Saturday, June 15 at Reser Stadium

  • Gates to Reser Stadium open at 9 a.m. for guest seating.
  • The 2024 Commencement ceremony is FREE for all to attend. No tickets are required.
  • Seating is outdoors and first-come, first-served. There is no reserved seating.
  • All family members and friends are welcome to attend. There is no guest limit.

CLEAR BAG POLICY

Clear bags are required to enter Reser Stadium for OSU's 2024 Commencement Ceremony. All guests attending must adhere to the Clear Bag Policy. Guests will be asked to return items to their cars if they do not comply. View all approved/prohibited bags and security details here.

GUEST SEATING

All graduates will be seated on the field of Reser Stadium. Guest seating is located throughout the entire stadium. Please use the graduate seating map below to find a seat nearest your graduate. All seating is first-come, first-served. Reser Stadium Gates B, C and G open at 9 a.m.

ENTRANCE AND SEATING GUIDANCE 

  • If your graduate is in the Colleges of Engineering, Liberal Arts, or Agricultural Sciences you will likely want to enter through Gate B to sit on the East Side of Reser Stadium. 
  • If your graduate is in the Colleges of Education, Forestry, Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences, Business, Health, or Science you will likely want to enter through Gate G to sit on the West Side of Reser Stadium. 
  • If your graduate is a Ph.D. or Master's candidate, both entrances and sides of Reser Stadium are available options for seating.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Information Booth located outside the stadium gates will be staffed to answer questions and offer assistance. Volunteers in orange shirts are also available to help.

To provide the safest campus experience possible, Oregon State University employs security measures that reduce risks and prevent incidents. All graduates and guests attending Commencement must follow the Clear Bag Policy at Reser Stadium. All guests will enter Reser Stadium through a security checkpoint where all bags, strollers wheelchairs and persons will be screened. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow additional time when entering the stadium.

RAIN OR SHINE

Commencement is a rain-or-shine event. Although open umbrellas are not permitted in Reser Stadium, sun visors or rain ponchos are suggested. Sunscreen is also recommended. Ponchos are available for purchase at the OSU Beaver Storelocated inside Reser Stadium on the main concourse.

CLEAR BAG POLICY

Reser Stadium has a Clear Bag Policy:

  • All graduates and guests attending the 2024 Commencement ceremony must follow this policy.
  • All graduates and guests will be asked to return prohibited items to their vehicles.
  • Visit the Clear Bag Policy page for more information.
  • Review the list of prohibited items ahead of time.

FIRST AID 

The First Aid Station is located on the main concourse near Section 119 in Reser Stadium. 

STROLLER CHECK

Strollers must be checked at Gate B. Strollers are not allowed in the stadium seating area.

STADIUM SERVICES 

Concession booths and Dutch Bros Coffee will be open in the main concourse. The OSU Beaver Store in the stadium and across the street will both be open during the ceremony. ATMs are located in the OSU Beaver Store entry area and under the portico on the north side of the CH2M HILL Alumni Center.

INTERNATIONAL GUESTS

Oregon State University welcomes guests from around the world at Commencement. The Office of the Registrar can help with visa requirements as needed. Please see the International Guests page for details.
